North of Bristol mind so not down Devon or the like *thumbs*

I'm a 24yr Golden Oldy and this is my first bike (started late).

Got a K7 '08 SM which I'm really getting into and got ideas of upgrading which I've already started getting stuff ordered.

My restrictor comes off in 2 weeks and on goes the Akra fully which I just got hold of.

Bit of a sort of story behind getting a street legal motorbike being the DRZ SM.

I used to be a biker of the pedal variety, still do a bit but just softer stuff since an off which at the same time put me off DH'ing.
Walked in a Suzuki dealer when I was 19yrs old not really wanting to drive or ride on the road as a motorist. Saw the Drz sm in team yellow/white, it was like love at 1st or something cheesy like that.
Anyway fast forward 5yrs and I want to get a bike, so went off to test ride one which I saw for sale on a mountain bike forum. What a fookin hoot that was, a real eye opener. SO, next day walk in my local dealer and buy a DRZ there'n'then. No b#llsh#t.
The thing with the 2nd hand one was that it had done 22000miles, the engine was literally on it's way out or so I was warned by other's in the know.
No steering lock keys, one ignition key and 2 YES 2 number regs plates, one bolted underneath the other. talk about being kicked in the *nuts and  at the time when viewing said bike.

Tbh for £1800 I thought might aswell get a low mileage good example with all the right papers, warranty etc for double that, rather than being stung without a motor or worse.

Anyway, that's my deal.

Oh and it's good to be here,

ta,

Timo.

How many active members have we got on here then?
It's states 206 but I'm merely reckon only a small amount of them contribute regularly.(?)

Anyway, it's all good.

Perhaps the suggested ride out at Chedder ought to be organised in the near future. :)

Like hell your getting me out onto the M5, not likely atall.

Have done dual carriageways on windy, wet even dry windy fairly calm days and was hardcore *thumbs*

Just the wind felt like it was a *nuts and anything above 70mph killed petrol as I ran out and had to get a lift to local garage.

Rscal tuck if he's still around is ok to ocme round my way for some country laning. *thumbs*
